TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their third straight game, 28-13, over the Las Vegas Raiders and climbed back into first place in the NFC South.

On Monday, News Channel 8’s Dan Lucas was joined by Bucs Head Coach Todd Bowles to talk about a win that was not as easy as the score may indicate.

After jumping out to a 14-0 lead on the Raiders, the Bucs finished the first half with three turnovers and a punt. The Raiders were only able to turn those mistakes into 10 points, and the Bucs finished the game with back-to-back touchdown drives.

Bowles was handed another tough injury to deal with, a sprained knee suffered by Safety Antoine Winfield Jr., which is expected to keep Winfield out of action for at least two weeks.

Offensively, a grind by Quarterback Baker Mayfield helped overcome a slow stretch of nearly two full quarters, but Mayfield has found chemistry with yet another pass catcher, rookie Receiver Jalen McMillan.

McMillan finished with two touchdown catches giving him three for the season.

Running Back Rachaad White also scored twice, and rushed for 90 yards, seeing most of the carries after Bucky Irving left the game with recurring pain in his hip and lower back, an injury he suffered a week ago at Carolina.
