TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- After another mild start, this afternoon will be the last day with near record heat with high humidity. Temperatures warm into the upper 80s, with a record high of 88. There will be a nice breeze with a 10% rain chance.
A weak front passes tonight and into early Wednesday. It will not bring any rain nor a a big cool down but temperatures will be in the mid-80s and feel much better with some lower humidity arriving tomorrow afternoon.
A stronger cold front arrives Friday. This could bring a few more showers with a 20-30% rain chance. The cooler and drier air arrive Friday afternoon and will stick around through the weekend. It will be breezy with abundant sunshine through Sunday.
Temps will gradually warm up again heading into next week.
Next week, all eyes will be on the tropics in the western Caribbean. A tropical depression or storm is likely to develop by the end of this week.
From there, it will meander before gradually lifting north. It is too early to say if it will move out into the Atlantic or into the Gulf but for now, this system will need watched closely.
