PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Pinellas officials are searching for a suspect accused of robbing a man in a wheelchair last week.
On the evening of June 16, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to a robbery near 44th Avenue North and 31st Street North in Lealman.
A victim, who is confined to a wheelchair with a medical condition that makes it difficult to speak, said that he was at the intersection when a man snatched his phone out of a case that was attached to a lanyard he was wearing.
The victim then said the suspect fled on a bicycle.

Deputies said the suspect is a white male and around 40 years old. He was seen wearing a black hat and carrying a backpack, riding a bike.
