TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Pamela Laplante can finally worry a little less about toll violations she's been receiving for three years for someone else's vehicle.

It just took a little Better Call Behnken intervention.

"It feels like harassment," Laplante said earlier this month when she called Consumer Investigator Shannon Behnken for help. "It's every single month."

Laplante uses a hay trailer to get hay for her horses, but ever since she bought the trailer three years ago, she started receiving toll violations for a white car.

The violations were for the car going through the same tolls in South Florida, over and over again.

She called Better Call Behnken for help earlier this month, saying she couldn't reach anyone to clear this up once and for all.

Behnken reached out to the Florida Department of Transportation and was told they couldn't comment on individual accounts but would escalate this immediately and contact Laplante directly.

That same day, officials called her and said this would be flagged so this wouldn't happen again. She says she was even given a phone number to call if she received another mistaken violation.
